The WPE double-stage housing contains two complete worm gear stages in one precision-machined cast iron body, with two independent oil chambers:

■ Primary Stage (Input Side)
First worm shaft and bronze wheel — receives motor power, produces first reduction. Higher-speed, lower-torque stage optimised for input speed operating conditions.
■ Intermediate Shaft
Connects primary stage output to secondary stage input. Precision-machined, supported by C3-clearance bearings, transmits intermediate torque and speed between the two stages.
■ Secondary Stage (Output Side)
Second worm shaft and bronze wheel — lower speed, higher torque. Matched-pair manufacturing with primary stage ensures consistent inter-stage noise and efficiency throughout service life.
■ Dual Independent Oil Chambers

For size 100–155 at 1,500 RPM input: maximum hanging load approximately 3,100N; size 155–250: approximately 5,800N. ▶ How do I fill the two oil chambers of the WPEO correctly in vertical output orientation?
WPEO oil fill procedure (vertical output, horizontal base): 1) Fill secondary stage (output side) first via its oil port to the marked level for O-orientation. 2) Fill primary stage (input side) via its port. Both fill levels differ from horizontal A-type WPEA fill quantities. Use the WPEO installation guide O-orientation table for precise fill volumes.
▶ Can the WPEO replace a vertical turbine drive arrangement for slow agitators?
The WPEO is an excellent replacement for vertical turbine gearbox arrangements in many slow agitator applications. WPEO provides comparable low output speeds at similar or higher torque levels.
