Choose Your Series
We supply worm gearboxes across three distinct material series — each engineered for specific application requirements. Browse by series below, or visit our technical support team if you need selection guidance.
NMRV / NRV
Aluminium Worm Gearbox
Lightweight die-cast aluminium housing with excellent heat dissipation. Ideal for packaging automation, conveyor systems and general-purpose light-industrial machinery. Available in NMRV, NRV, NMRV-E and NRV-E configurations.
WP / WPW / WPE
Cast Iron Worm Gearbox
Heavy-duty cast iron housing for shock-load applications, continuous duty and outdoor installations. Single-stage WP/WPW series and double-stage WPE series for extreme reduction ratios — standard for mining, agriculture and material handling.
SSRV / SSVF / SSGM
Stainless Steel Worm Gearbox
Precision-cast SS304 housing with electrolytic polish for food-grade, pharmaceutical and marine environments. SSRV is dimensionally compatible with NMRV — a direct drop-in upgrade. SSGM offers six-face machined construction for the highest hygiene standard.

Aluminium Worm Gearbox — NMRV / NRV
Die-cast aluminium housing, 12-2 tin bronze worm wheel, hardened steel worm shaft. Sizes 025 to 150, reduction ratios 5:1 to 100:1. Four configurations: NMRV (hollow input, flanged), NRV (solid input, no flange), NMRV-E and NRV-E (with coaxial worm tail output). Compatible with IEC motor frames via selectable flange codes. Suitable for continuous duty in indoor and protected environments up to IP54.
Die-cast aluminium alloy housing — significantly lighter than cast iron equivalents, reducing equipment weight and simplifying installation.
All-position installation — horizontal, vertical and inclined. Six standard IEC flange codes cover the full range of motor frame sizes from 56 to 160.
NMRV-E and NRV-E configurations accept servo and stepper motor inputs from major brands including Panasonic, Mitsubishi and Leadshine.
DZ single-direction output shaft, SZ dual-direction output shaft, F low output flange and FL high output flange — all available as factory-fitted options.

Cast Iron Worm Gearbox — WP / WPW / WPE
Cast iron housing for heavy-duty, continuous-duty and outdoor applications. WP and WPW single-stage series cover sizes 40 to 250 with ratios from 5:1 to 60:1 and output torques up to 2745 Nm. WPE double-stage series achieves ratios from 100:1 to 3600:1 in a single housing — eliminating the need to chain two gearboxes. Extensive shaft direction options (A, S, O, X, T, V), IEC motor flanges (D suffix) and hollow-shaft outputs (K suffix) available across all sub-series.
Cast iron provides excellent vibration damping and structural stiffness under high overhung shaft loads — critical for mining conveyors and heavy agricultural equipment.
At ratios above approximately 25:1, the worm mesh becomes self-locking — preventing back-drive from the load without a separate brake. Essential for inclined conveyors and valve actuators.
WPE series delivers ratios from 100:1 to 3600:1 in one compact housing. Ideal for agitators, solar trackers and low-speed industrial drives where single-stage ratios are insufficient.
WPW universal series supports installation from any of six faces. Combined with solid-shaft, hollow-shaft and flange-mount input/output options, virtually any installation geometry is achievable.

Stainless Steel Worm Gearbox — SSRV / SSVF / SSGM
Three distinct stainless steel sub-series for hygiene-critical and corrosive environments. SSRV uses SS304 precision-cast housing with NMRV-identical dimensions — a direct drop-in replacement that adds corrosion resistance and CIP washdown compatibility without machine modification. SSVF provides a compact VF-style right-angle form factor. SSGM delivers the highest hygiene standard with six-face fully machined SS304 housing, 12-2 tin bronze worm wheel and full synthetic worm gear oil as standard. All series feature electrolytic surface polish.
Identical mounting dimensions to NMRV — swap in a stainless unit without redesigning your machine. Suitable for immediate food-grade upgrades on existing production lines.
All six housing faces are fully machined — eliminating rough casting surfaces where bacteria and residue can accumulate. Meets the most stringent Australian food processing and FSANZ hygiene standards.
Electrolytically polished SS304 surface reduces surface roughness to below 0.8 Ra — allowing fast, thorough CIP cleaning without residue retention between production runs.
All stainless series units are supplied with full synthetic worm gear oil approved for incidental food contact. SSVF and SSGM use synthetic oil as standard across the operating temperature range.
